Description
I call this material “Diamond Lepidolite” because of the rare occurence of a translucent, diamond shape “inlay” – naturally occurring – but often partial, or broken, not perfectly framed like this. It’s half an inch thick, and would display nicely on a stand, or with a light behind it. Note Photo 1 shows it with the sun behind it; and in Photo 2, you might see my fingers showing through on the other side. Lepidolite is Lithium-rich, and micas have been used in the past for insulation and as windows into high-heat environment. Generally, we think of Lepidolite as a Heart stone, representing our connections to others. The window aspect adds an interesting metaphysical quality to it. Length: 11.9cm; Width: 7.6cm; Depth: 1.3cm Weight: 244.8g (8.64oz) Origin: Latin America, Brazil
